How to Improve the Airflow in Your Office

Uh, oh: it seems that your office feels like a thousand degrees, again! For most places of employment around the world, temperature control always seems to be a standard issue.
Sure, a central air unit will do the trick — but sometimes that’s not enough to stay comfortable. If you’re looking for ways to improve the airflow in your office, then here are some helpful tips to know:

Turn it Green

One of the best ways to improve airflow (and add a splash of color) is to bring in some plants! From tall stalks of green to little air plants, no matter what you choose, they’ll all help bring in some much-needed oxygen. Plants can transform any confined space into a fresh, comfortable destination.

Change it Up

Another great way to keep the air flowing in your office is to change out the air filters, frequently. Believe it or not, changing your filters every two-to-three months (or sooner) will help keep your office in tip-top shape.

Air filters act as a guard — and it’s possible that they can trap a series of harmful bacteria and airborne debris. Not only is this harmful to the unit’s overall performance, but the airborne debris can also make its way into your respiratory system if ignored.

Clean Regularly

Looking to improve not only your HVAC unit’s performance but the overall air quality in your office? If that’s the case, then it’s essential to have your air ducts scrubbed and cleaned when needed.

Not only will this prevent any blockages from happening, but it will also keep your air ducts from deteriorating from the buildup. When you have your air ducts cleaned often, you’ll notice a difference in the airflow, in addition to the air quality.

Repair When Needed

If you feel as if your unit is continuously lagging (in performance), then it’s possible it may need a repair. Granted, every HVAC unit will need repairs over time — but if you continuously ignore the signs of wear and tear, then you could have a more significant problem on your hands.
